3 Reasons Why YouTube is Funny

YouTube is a weird and funny place. They keep updating their platform, making rules that don’t make sense, and acting like they know what creators need—when in reality, it's a giant guessing game. Here are three reasons why YouTube is unintentionally hilarious.

1. Post Content, But Who Cares If No One Sees It

YouTube wants you to keep uploading videos, no matter what. They’ll tell you, “Keep posting, consistency matters!”—but if no one watches your content, don’t worry! It might take off in a week, a month, or never. There’s no real logic. Just keep throwing videos into the void and hope YouTube’s mysterious algorithm gods bless you one day.

2. Your Subscribers? Yeah, They Don’t Matter

You worked hard to get subscribers? Cute. But YouTube doesn’t care. Your video won’t just go to them—it’ll be tossed into the massive ocean of YouTube where anyone (or no one) might see it. You’re not building a community; you’re fishing with an invisible net, hoping someone bites.

3. Any Video Length is Fine… But Test Shorts!

YouTube claims video length doesn’t matter—10 seconds, 3 minutes, or an hour-long documentary, all good! But also, please post Shorts. They won’t say it outright, but Shorts are their current obsession, so you better start making those under-60-second clips unless you enjoy being ignored by the algorithm.

So, should you take YouTube seriously? Maybe. But at the end of the day, their advice is just as unpredictable as their platform. Just post, experiment, and enjoy the chaos.
